Become a Heart Care Supporter Today

Heartcare Supporters are a very special group of people who partner with us so we can continue our research to improve knowledge about the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease. By making a one-off, monthly, quarterly or annual commitment, you will help make sure patients receive the very best cardiac care and support possible.

People who have experienced a cardiac event or diagnosis often feel like their entire world has been turned upside down. And while they have a cardiologist to help treat them physically, most will suffer the psychological effects in silence. But with your help, they don’t have to. Your gift will help us hire more cardiac psychologists and mental health social workers who can support people living with a heart condition.

All donations over $2.00 to the Australian Centre for Heart Health are tax deductible.

Deciding which kind of bequest to leave

The main types of bequests you can make after choosing your charity are a residual legacy, a specific legacy, and a whole estate. A residual legacy is what is left of your estate after all your other wishes have been carried out, including provisions made for your family. Leaving the residual of your Estate to a charity is the advantage that the legacy maintains its relative value over time. A specific legacy is a gift of a specific item or group of items, such as cash, stocks and shares, jewellery or property. Percentage or fractional legacy This is a bequest expressed as a percentage or fraction of your Estate. A whole estate is a bequest that comprises the entire Estate. It is often left by people who have no beneficiaries or those wanting to achieve something very significant.
